- Mexssub’s initial research and development efforts result in the development and application of the Mexssub Sleeve System and the Flexible Habitat. This technology provides a solution to Pemex’s problems of corrosion of marine risers at the splash zone.
- Mexican patent office grants patents for the Mexssub Flexible Habitat.
- Pemex awards Mexssub a contract to rehabilitate 30 marine risers in the Bay of Campeche.
- Mexican patent office grants patent for the Mexssub Sleeve System and installation procedures. The same year Mexssub is awarded a first contract for repairs on 36 inch offshore pipelines. Mexssub is awarded a contract for reinforcement of platform legs using the flexible habitat for hyper-baric welding.
- Mexssub is awarded a contract for the development of a method to apply the Mexssub Sleeve System to rehabilitate a 36 inch gas pipeline in inland shallow waters. This award resulted in the design and development of the Modular Habitat System and related procedures.
- Mexssub is awarded a Type Approval Certificate by Det Norske Veritas certifying the Mexssub Sleeve System as a permanent repair for pipelines and marine risers.
- Mexican patent office grants patent for the Mexssub Modular Habitat. Mexssub expands its services by rehabilitating inland waters pipelines, opening a new market for its proprietary system.
- Hurricane damage to Pemex offshore installations allows Mexssub to obtain an inspection contract to supplement the core business of pipeline rehabilitation.
- Mexssub received contracts for the rehabilitation of 8 marine risers and 15 faults in a 36 inch gas pipeline.
- Mexssub received contracts for the rehabilitation of 14 marine risers and 25 faults in a 36 inch gas pipeline. Mexssub completed the construction of the DSV “Venado”, its second four-point mooring dive support vessel.
- Mexssub received a contract to encapsulate a leaking check valve installed on a 36 inch pipeline in water depths of 105 feet requiring utilization of a dynamic positioning vessel and saturation diving.
- Mexssub is awarded a contract to encase mid riser connectors, using the MSS technology (Mexssub Sleeve System).
- Mexssub is awarded a second contract to encase mid riser connectors using the MSS technology.
- Mexssub is awarded a contract to encase mechanical “Plidco” clamp using the MSS technology.
- Mexssub is awarded a contract for the rehabilitation of 5 marine risers and encapsulation of 3 plidco clamps on 36” pipe line.
- Mexssub achieves 15 repairs for marine risers, 62 pre-fabricated new spool replacements and 2 programmed “Plidco Clamp” encasements for the last quarter of the year.
